Vik Ramprakash

Founder and CEO

Vik Ramprakash is an experienced business process consultant. His unique work experience in business and software technology has allowed him to strategize and implement business solutions in the geospatial field and after his MBA, in the financial industry. Vik holds an MS in Civil Engineering, specializing in remote sensing, from The Ohio State University as well as an MBA from the University of Florida.

Ken Balogh

Engineering

With lead roles in project development projects, Ken has guided the evolution of the VetGuardian™ from prototype to final product. He has successfully designed and developed products across a diverse range of applications including steer-by-wire, variable frequency drives, and other equipment. Ken is a certified safety engineer per IEC61508 and he received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University. Ken recently received his Master of Computer Science from Drexel University.

Scott Ijaz

Product

Scott focuses on customer relations, market analysis and business development. With master-level degrees from Johns Hopkins University (Biotechnology Entrepreneurship) and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (Bioethics), he brings an understanding of the interactions between science, regulatory affairs, business, and technology to the Company.

Dr. Eleanor Green

Dean Emerita of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M

Dr. Eleanor M. Green, Dean Emerita of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University, is Senior Advisor and Consultant for Animal Policy Group. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and Diplomate Emeritus of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP).

Dr. Green received a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Florida and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Auburn University. She established a veterinary practice in Mississippi as partner/owner. She became a founding faculty member of the newly approved College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University and contributed to the development of all aspects of a burgeoning veterinary college.

In a partnership with the North American Veterinary Community and its Veterinary Innovation Council, she helped establish the first of its kind Veterinary Innovation Summit (VIS) at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Green also helped create the Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy with a group of visionary veterinarians. In 2020, she became a founding board member of the Veterinary Virtual Care Association (VVCA).

Dr. Green has a special interest in the future of veterinary medicine and the innovations that will help ensure a thriving profession.

Greg Blair

Zomedica

Greg is a dynamic life sciences leader with experience across business development, commercial, product development, and finance roles. He is responsible for building and executing an external innovation strategy to maximize shareholder value.​

Greg joined Zomedica from Elanco Animal Health, where he was known for his collaborative approach to creating strategic alliances that built trust and confidence with partners across the industry. While at Elanco, Greg delivered multiple successful transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, equity investments, and licensing transactions.​

He has dedicated his career to leading teams that deliver innovative solutions for customers with companies such as Johnson and Johnson, Intuitive Surgical and Enteromedics. Greg’s passion for innovation and pursuit of technologies that solve unmet needs, improve clinicians’ practices and enrich patient lives led him to launch numerous innovative products throughout his career.​

Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending quality time with his wife and young son, as well as their Beauceron, Poscoe. He is a private pilot, and the family enjoys taking trips around the eastern US to anywhere with a beach and warm weather.

Clint Starrs

Natera, Founder

With a background of 15 years in medical diagnostic sales, Clint co-founded Infection Prevention Technologies (IPT),  one of the first hospital UVC disinfection companies to market. With their disruptive and patented technology, Clint was active with both the product development and go-to-market strategy. This resulted in a successful domestic and international product launch which subsequently resulted in a profitable company acquisition. Clint was also a lead investor and advisor for an animal health diagnostic company that is currently developing 3 highly innovative and novel diagnostic testing platforms for the veterinary market. Clint holds multiple patents and currently continues to advise and invest in early seed-stage companies.

His passion for science education and research led Clint to start a non-profit foundation that works within the community to provide funding specifically in the areas of STEM education and scholarships to students. Clint holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Steve Lamont

Sand Hill Angels

Steven Lamont is a strategy and marketing professional with a track record of success leading growth initiatives, especially in the communications and high technology arenas. He has served as Chief Marketing Officer for major companies, as well as consulted to many leading companies.

His mission is to act as a trusted advisor to help emerging communications and high-technology companies succeed with the best marketing and business strategy/execution, serving in roles such as board member, advisory board member, interim CMO, or consulting project leader.

Russ Donda

ViewRay, CEO

Currently serving as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence in the life sciences for GLIDE, BioEnterprise and Jumpstart, Russ Donda has over 25 years of executive and startup entrepreneurial experience. He serves on multiple startup boards, is an inventor on a number of patents, and among other startup projects, he was the founding CEO and chairman for ViewRay, a startup developing a novel form of radiation therapy. It was subsequently venture funded and is now publicly traded (Nasdaq: VRAY). Mr. Donda is a founding member of, and co-chair of investment review for the Emergent Growth Fund, LLC (www.emergentgrowth.com), an angel investment fund. He was also a cofounder of, and spearheaded business development for Regeneration Technologies, now publicly traded (Nasdaq: RTIX).

Dr. Eric Bregman, DVM

New York State Veterinary Medical Society, President

Dr. Eric Bregman began his under-graduate degree at the University of Houston and after three years he received an early acceptance to the University of Pennsylvania to study veterinary medicine. Upon graduation from UPenn he completed a formal internship in medicine and surgery at the Oradell Animal Hospital in Oradell, New Jersey.

Currently, Eric is President of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, and active in the New York City Veterinary Medical Association and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association. Dr. Bregman is a certified Radiation Officer and is licensed to administer radioactive iodine to treat feline hyperthyroidism. He is a Category II U.S.D.A. accredited veterinarian, and is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Eric Bregman is also the proud owner of two Cairn terriers, Lily and Woodford.

Ashby Green

CFO of the Year, Truist Tampa Bay Advisory Board

Ashby Green joins the company as an Advisory Board member bringing nearly 25 years of accounting, finance, and leadership experience to VetGuardian. As an expert strategist, Ashby has consistently delivered on preparing companies for scale, nurturing strong (cool) cultures, mitigating risk through growth and having organizations fully prepared for acquisition or exit.​

An entrepreneur in every sense of the word, Ashby is a connector, community builder, growth catalyst and a servant leader with a huge social conscience. He has served on several committees and boards such as Leadership St. Pete, Junior Achievement, Truist Tampa Bay Advisory Board, the Board of Starting Right Now and the Board of US Federal Contractor Registration. The previous CFO of the Year (2017) jumps at every opportunity to get involved in community causes and events. He was the recipient of the FL Governor’s Business Ambassador Award in 2016 while at Kobie Marketing and is an adjunct professor at the University of Tampa teaching Entrepreneurial Finance.​

Being raised on a farm by veterinarians from birth through high school, he couldn’t be more excited to get back to his roots by serving as an advisor to VetGuardian.

David Pinsky

David Pinsky brings six years of experience in investment banking and private equity. David grew up in South Florida and received his Bachelor and Master of Science in Finance from the University of Florida.

Currently, David is part of Newlight Partners, a growth private investment firm that builds businesses in partnership with exceptional founders and management teams.

Melanie Schultz

Customer Experience

Melanie attended the Pennsylvania State University and received her Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. Her previous work experience is in Property Management as well as Sales Operations in the Animal Health space. Melanie has proven success in leading teams and working in companies from pre-revenue to commercialization. Her goal is to provide top notch customer service and support.

Sarah Puinno

Customer Experience

Sarah is an experienced professional with a background in insurance customer support and sales. She has worked with a variety of insurance products, including Humana Medicare Advantage, Foresters, and Mutual of Omaha Life. Currently pursuing an English degree at Arizona State University, Sarah is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills. In her role as a customer support specialist, Sarah is focused on delivering excellence in assisting clients with installations and meeting their needs.

Ryan Friedenberg

Marketing

Ryan Friedenberg is a graduate of Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business with degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. His professional experiences include building a successful e-commerce store and managing digital ad strategy for a marketing agency and various businesses. Ryan is interested in combining his passion for marketing and entrepreneurship, by identifying solutions to make lives better and letting the world know.

Hope Flint

Veterinary Research

Hope Darnell is a 3rd year veterinary student at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and completed a prior degree in Animal Science with a Chemistry minor at Sul Ross State University. Hope is interested in helping to bring innovation into the veterinary space to improve both the lives of veterinary staff and her patients through technology. Hope is currently responsible for research, marketing, and improving the user experience.

Karthik Selvarajan

Software Manager

Karthik has 18 years of experience in IT industry areas including Product Management, Leadership, Business Strategy, Architecture Design, Product Budget and Estimation, Stakeholder Management, Cross Functional skills in domains like healthcare, banking, insurance, retail and telecom domains. Karthik also has experience in Data Analysis and Strategic Solution implementing techniques with AIML. With a Masters in Computer Science Engineering, Karthik is a certified Mule Soft Solution Architect. He’s designed and developed highly scalable, critical applications in Credit Management, OSS/BSS, and more.

Mike Yenne

Technical Project Manager

Mike has worked in Production Support for several years. Following his Computer Science degree from Colorado State University, Mike worked in the telecommunications industry as a software tester, developer, beta/field trials engineer and Production Support engineer. His management career includes Systems Testing, Lab Management, Field Trials, Certifications, Product Sustaining and Release Management. Mike later excelled in roles as a Technical Project Manager and Program Manager across the telecom spectrum and most recently for global banking applications.

Davood Khoozan

Algorithms

Davood has more than 15 years of experience developing and implementing complex engineering algorithms in different industries, ranging from oil and gas, to additive manufacturing, and signal processing. Davood has a PhD in mechanical engineering, and his main expertise is analyzing complex and challenging problems, developing the best solutions, and implementing the algorithms in a computational and memory efficient way.

Mike Cantu

Product Research

Mike earned his BS in Zoology from Kent State University and is currently pursuing a MA in Biology from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Mike’s previous work experience includes positions at both the Akron and Cleveland Zoos. Mike has experience in completing research and case studies and was a member of the education team while working at the Akron Zoo. He is currently responsible for customer support, product installation and exotic market evaluation.

Austin Wilson

Software

Austin is a recognized Amazon Alexa Champion with deep knowledge of conversational technologies, such as Amazon's Alexa and Google Assistant. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Austin has helped companies build voice-based experiences for over 5 years. Outside of voice, he specializes in Software Engineering and Architecture, specifically with cloud systems, microservices, serverless architecture, and voice applications. Austin is a certified Amazon Alexa Skill Builder and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University.
